WWF Youth Team

WWF, the Worldwide Fund for Nature, is one of the largest and most respected independent international conservation organizations in the world. With over 3,000 projects and six million supporters, we operate in more than 100 countries. Our projects are built on collaboration, dialogue, and respect for others, and they all share the same mission: to halt the degradation of nature on our planet and build a future where humans live in harmony with nature.

The WWF Youth Team is a training program designed to help young people aged 15–25 develop and implement their own projects. These projects aim to raise awareness and take action for a more sustainable world. Over nine months, participants engage in training and activities with other young people, ultimately launching their own awareness and action projects to combat deforestation.

Quote from a Youth Team member: Phatsimo – Manager of the podcast Dear Forests (2024) "As someone who loves nature and advocates for social justice, it was overwhelming to witness what was happening to our planet while feeling powerless (and sometimes, it still is). But by joining the Youth Team, I found hope and joy in the small actions we can take in our immediate surroundings. My podcast project has even become my greatest personal achievement! I also had the opportunity to connect with other young people who care about our planet, growing alongside them. All of this to defend our environment as best as we can."
